Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, more commonly referred to as Eucharistic Ministers, serve our Parish in a variety of ways. While we assist the Celebrant at Mass in distributing Communion to the congregation, our primary ministry is really to the members of our Parish who are unable to attend Mass. While some people we visit are sick or infirmed, many are simply unable to attend Sunday Mass because they have reached their golden years and have retired within our Parish. Our ministry has continued to grow and flourish within our Parish in both size and scope. We currently enjoy the volunteer services of 22 Ministers, some of which visit our Parishioners, others serve at both daily and Sunday Mass, and some volunteer for both.
As our ministry has grown in size, we have been able to reach out further into the Parish and bring Christ to more homes and families. It is our goal to serve when and where we are needed, but we are primarily focused on the people who are members of the Parish, or who have once been members of our Community and have moved to nearby towns or retirement facilities. We strive to increase our service to our Parish as well as attract new Ministers to the program.
If either you or someone you know finds themselves in a position of needing the services of our ministry, you can contact the Parish office at 610-622-2420. If you want to share your gift of service with our Parishioners, serve at daily or Sunday Mass, you can volunteer by calling the Parish office.
